My Daily Practice: Strength, Buoyancy, and Inner Ease
6 functional practices utilising a single massage ball with extra creativity.
Being healthy and feeling vitalised can be two different experiences. With our conscious contribution and a fascia-focused movement practice, we can unite them!
Eating nutrient-rich foods and drinking enough create excellent conditions for well-nourished fascia; however, sustenance coming from the outside is not enough. The body needs nourishment that comes from within for the tissues to stay juicy, fully functional, and to evoke a felt sense of vitality. The magic formula lies in movement diversity.
In the multidimensional Slings Myofascial Training practices contained in this album, we vitalise the body from foot to head, and from the inside out and outside in. Bouncing and swinging movements are complemented with steady exercises that build tensile strength and open the heart space 360°. Deep tensions are melted with pleasurable spiralling movements and self-massages. The Slings massage ball is used in a creative and purposeful manner to enliven individual body regions, elicit specific responses, challenge the body in novel ways, and promote fluid flow, thus tissue rejuvenation.
Along the way, we sharpen the kinaesthetic self-image or the way we experience ourselves.
This album contains five contrasting Slings practices:
1. Tensile Strength, Buoyancy, and 360° Heart Opening
2. Yoga-Inspired and Fascia-Empowered Inner Spring and Smoothness
3. Spiralling into Agility
4. Pivoting Core Strength
5. Spiralling into Vitality
Through the balanced interplay of inner and outer strength, limberness, fascial spring, and all-around somatic ease a new kind of movement freedom becomes available.
To deepen the feeling of peacefulness, there is a sixth movement sequence:
6. Mini-Retreat for Inner Ease
The six practices can be done individually or in combination. The recommendation is to finish each session with the sixth integrative sequence to round it off.
Happy practice!
