Spatial Medicine – Moving into Core Alignment
Mountain Retreat
Tom Myers and Karin Gurtner are delighted to continue their tradition of co-facilitating retreats in Switzerland. In this sixth edition, these two renowned teachers invite you into the realm of Spatial Medicine — cultivating health and holistic functionality by moving into resilient alignment.

Our work together aligns and integrates three key body-mind centres:
Belly Centre | A hub of physiological and emotional self-regulation, intimately linked to the gut and enteric nervous system, the body’s ‘second brain.’ It fosters inner togetherness, ease, and somatic trust, while serving as the wellspring of physiological energy and intuitive wisdom. |
Heart Centre | The core of emotional intelligence and relational awareness, serving as a bridge between sensing and thinking, body and mind, self and other. Physiologically, it is anchored in the cardiac plexus and deeply intertwined with breath and intention. |
Mind Centre | The domain of cognition, perception, and meaning. Our sense-making, salience, attention, reasoning, and creative insight all stem from this centre. Our practices help us differentiate between disruptive mind wandering and generative reverie, supporting a grounded clarity and the free flow of novel ideas. |

Moving Into Our Bodywide Myofascial Core
Throughout the retreat, we will work with the Deep Front Line – our bodywide myofascial core – as a map. Through fascia-focused movement, touch, and exquisite attention, we will bring this map to life.
"There is one disease, and its name is congestion,” said Paraceksus. A central theme for our retreat is inner flow – because stagnancy breeds discontent. In movement, we will explore fluidity, glide, tone regulation, and kinaesthesia in bringing our three centres together. Unglue your body to expand freedom in heart and mind and bring unity of purpose.
Let the Magic Happen
When we are “all in,” magic happens. And when we are both ‘all in’ and relaxed, even more magic happens. Our schedule allows both. Enjoy the deluxe wellness facilities and varied cuisine at the Hotel Ermitage Schönried while fully immersing yourself in the experiences we provide in the spacious classroom to leave with your body rested, your heart at ease, and your mind refreshed.

It is not difficult to be surrounded by a 5-star resort near Gstaad, where the sauna heat, flowing waters, stunning setting, and a healthy kitchen allow us the time and space to do the ‘harder’ work of paying attention to our connection with ourselves, with another, and with our mother Earth.
Come back with a restored sense of shared purpose and personal responsibility.
