In Pilates Essentials you acquire the skills and knowledge to teach safe and effective Pilates mat classes with a contemporary and functional approach. You build on relevant professional as well as methodological and teaching knowledge; and you learn a repertoire of 40 exercises plus regressions, progressions and modifications. After you successfully complete the course, you can teach both groups and individuals.
The focus of Pilates Flow is the integration of active and dynamic pelvic floor training into a coordinated and demanding three-dimensional Flow repertoire. You expand your exercise selection by 34 exercises and learn to teach creatively and fluently. Pilates Flow is the centrepiece of the Contemporary Pilates method and a pleasure in which to both teach and participate.
Pilates Matwork Assessment
Before you start to teach Pilates or use it in your practice, you have the opportunity to challenge yourself with the accepted Pilates anatomy, principles and exercises. The Pilates Matwork Assessment consists of a theoretical, an oral and a practical part and the detailed learner guide we provide will assist you in being successful.
Pilates Body Reading
In this course you will learn more about human body architecture in order to develop strategies for a targeted training program. So that you understand the 7 steps of Body Reading and are able to competently put them into practise, issues such as posture balance, body tensegrity, movement efficiency and the influence of body history are discussed during the course, along with many practical examples.
Pilates Functional Choreography
In Pilates Functional Choreography you will learn to individualise sequences and entire classes functionally, purposefully and fluently. Key topics include the active preparation for challenging exercises, smooth transitions, thematic priorities (for example, shoulder stabilisation) as well as procedures for specific target groups (for example, runners).
Pilates Tactile Cueing
After Pilates Tactile Cueing you will be able to cue body positions and movement patterns through touch, with both purpose and clear intention. Teaching through touch is one of the most effective and efficient teaching tools within the Pilates Method. As an additional teaching tool you will look more closely at the benefits of kinesthetic cueing; an absolute must in our opinion for all Pilates professionals.
Pilates & Props: Roller, Toning Balls, Magic Circle
You can use small props throughout your entire class or to supplement an existing mat class in order to set new challenges and create a new movement experience for your participants. The use of Pilates rollers, toning balls and magic circles is suitable for all levels of practitioner and for a variety of purposes; for example to improve balance, core stability and flexibility.
Pregnancy in Motion
Pregnancy in Motion empowers you to be able to teach customised Pilates training suitable for pregnant women and to be able to integrate expectant mothers into your regular classes. With elements of Yoga practice incorporated, the focus is on awareness of a healthy posture where breathing, body awareness, differentiated core activation and targeted exercise selection play important roles.
