Pilates Essentials

In Pilates Essentials you acquire the skills and knowledge to teach safe and effective Pilates mat classes with a contemporary and functional approach. You build on relevant professional as well as methodological and teaching knowledge; and you learn a repertoire of 40 exercises plus regressions, progressions and modifications. After you successfully complete the course, you can teach both groups and individuals.

Pilates Flow

The focus of Pilates Flow is the integration of active and dynamic pelvic floor training into a coordinated and demanding three-dimensional Flow repertoire. You expand your exercise selection by 34 exercises and learn to teach creatively and fluently. Pilates Flow is the centrepiece of the Contemporary Pilates method and a pleasure in which to both teach and participate.

In this course you will learn more about human body architecture in order to develop strategies for a targeted training program. So that you understand the 7 steps of Body Reading and are able to competently put them into practise, issues such as posture balance, body tensegrity, movement efficiency and the influence of body history are discussed during the course, along with many practical examples.

Pilates Functional Choreography

In Pilates Functional Choreography you will learn to individualise sequences and entire classes functionally, purposefully and fluently. Key topics include the active preparation for challenging exercises, smooth transitions, thematic priorities (for example, shoulder stabilisation) as well as procedures for specific target groups (for example, runners).

Pilates Experienced Anatomy

Pregnancy in Motion empowers you to be able to teach customised Pilates training suitable for pregnant women and to be able to integrate expectant mothers into your regular classes. With elements of Yoga practice incorporated, the focus is on awareness of a healthy posture where breathing, body awareness, differentiated core activation and targeted exercise selection play important roles.

Pilates Tactile Cueing

After Pilates Tactile Cueing you will be able to cue body positions and movement patterns through touch, with both purpose and clear intention. Pilates & Props: Roller, Toning Balls, Magic Circle

You can use small props throughout your entire class or to supplement an existing mat class in order to set new challenges and create a new movement experience for your participants. The use of Pilates rollers, toning balls and magic circles is suitable for all levels of practitioner and for a variety of purposes; for example to improve balance, core stability and flexibility.

Pilates & Props: Flow Tonic

As with other small devices, you can also run your entire class with the use of Flow Tonic pads, or only integrate some individual exercises into your class plan. Sliding movements allow for new exercise variations and can bring new challenges into your class.

Pilates Flow Advanced

 

In Pilates Flow Advanced you expand your repertoire with new and challenging exercises. You can integrate them into your classes at any level; on the one hand through a targeted setting among beginners, and on the other hand with athletic sequences for advanced participants. Furthermore, you will deepen your knowledge in movement anatomy with a focus on the global and local muscle system; and shoulder bio-mechanics explained.

 

 

 

Post Pregnancy in Motion

In Post Pregnancy in Motion you will learn what is important in Pilates for women post-pregnancy; what is to be avoided and where to focus their training. Common disturbing symptoms after giving birth, the pelvic floor, as well as the organisation of a recovery course will be discussed. In addition, you will learn specific exercises and modifications for women post-pregnancy.

Pilates Dos & Don’ts - Medical Aspects

In Dos & Don’ts you will familiarise yourself with, and understand, causes and consequences of the following common conditions: osteoporosis, arthritis, herniated disc, artificial hip, shoulder and knee joints, shoulder impingement syndrome and slipping vertebrae. Furthermore, the training focus will turn to which are the best and unproblematic exercises, how to modify your exercises and what exercises your participants should avoid. The course is full of short practise sequences that relate to the discussed syndromes.

Reformer Continuous Education

Pilates Reformer Essentials

In Pilates Reformer Essentials you will learn to adjust the reformer for diverse target audiences, different starting positions and safety measures. And of course you will expand your exercise repertoire with many regressions, progressions and modifications that you will be able to use during your classes or individual training with specific types of participants.

Pilates Reformer Flow

The demanding repertoire of the Pilates Reformer Flow course is based on original exercises by Joseph Pilates and is enriched with many contemporary variations. You will learn how to combine exercises and how to run a smooth-flowing class. Advanced class planning and teaching methods constitute important parts of this course, so you will learn how to successfully run an individual training session or lead a group.
