About the Slings in Motion Blend Course

Prerequisites for Slings in Motion Blend are Anatomy Trains in Motion and Slings Essentials. Head over to our course calendar to find out about upcoming live online courses dates.

While it is not compulsary, we strongly recommend to complete the Slings Online Theory Assessment before attending Slings in Motion Blend. Why? Bringing a solid understanding of the fundamentals, namely the WHY and the WHAT, to a repertoire course always pays off and give each exercise and movement sequence even more depth.

What to expect?

We recently had a chat with senior educator Muriel Morwitzer, who will be teaching one of the Slings in Motion Blend live online courses. We asked her what people can expect of this course depending on where they are in their Slings education journey. Here are her answers:

For participants who have done Anatomy Trains in Motion & Slings Essentials:

"Slings in Motion Blend gives you a smaller yet very useful overview of all Slings in Motion courses. You will be taught a detailed selection of exercises which include all Anatomy Trains lines, fascial movement qualities and Slings Myofascial Training techniques. Meaning you will have the tool set to create holistic and balanced sequences, before delving more vertically into the depth of the individual Slings in Motion courses."

For participants who have done up to Slings in Motion I:

"In Slings in Motion Blend you will learn a detailed selection of exercises which include all lines. Meaning you will have the tool set to create holistically balanced sequences considering all Anatomy Trains lines, fascial movement qualities and Slings Myofascial training techniques. It will also help you solidify your existing knowledge of Anatomy Trains in Motion, Slings Essentials and Slings in Motion I in relationship to the other myofascial meridians. It will give you a more interconnected understanding of it all before you delve vertically even deeper into Slings in Motion II & III. As a bonus you will get to experience a few Slings in Motion I exercises or exercise variations which are not in your manual."

For participants who have completed the Slings Diploma:

"Refresh your skills and deepen your understanding of the Slings concept and principles. Plus you will get to experience a few Slings in Motion exercises or exercise variations which are not in your manuals."

Thank you Muriel!

At the art of motion Academy, we are excited to offer you this comprehensive manual for embodied learning. Slings in Motion Blend comprises a diverse mix of exercise favourites from the Slings in Motion I, II, and III repertoire series. Special features of the fascia-focussed movement selection are:

  • All of the 12 myofascial meridians of Tom Myers’ Anatomy Trains concept are considered with specificity.
  • All of the 12 Fascial Movement Qualities of the Slings Myofascial Training concept are deliberately utilised and improved.
  • Exercises in all body positions are included (standing, weight-bearing, kneeling, sitting, prone, side-lying, supine).
  • The versatility of the repertoire unites dynamic exercises with slow, deliberate motions and melting poses.
  • All exercises can be embedded into the smooth flowing SynerChi sequence shown at the end of the manual.

Each of the 20 exercises is described in great detail and illustrated with photos that show every phase of the motion.

It is a practical guide to enhance your movement scope and overall wellbeing in a resource-oriented integrative manner.

We hope you will love this repertoire as much as we do. Happy practice!
