Pre- & Postnatal FAMO

Are you already working with women during pregnancy and postnatal recovery and would like to support them with fascia-focused training? This course focuses on selected FAMO exercises, their execution, embodiment and specific benefits during pregnancy and postnatal recovery.

About the Course

You will explore the fascial movement qualities, practice aims and the fascial ‘roundhouses’ of the pelvic floor, abdominal aponeuroses and thoracolumbar fascia. In addition, you will develop strategies for an invigorating and empowering fascia-focused movement approach. We also address the physical, mental and emotional changes and challenges that may arise during this special period, including prolapse, diastasis recti, incontinence, sacroiliac joint pain and pubic symphysis pain.

You will learn how the selected FAMO exercises are purposefully structured, modified and adapted. You will understand the difference between strengthening the muscles holistically and simultaneously training the resilience and tensional strength of the fascia. The core is activated in a deliberate manner, promoting ease and equanimity, while encouraging natural breathing and healthy posture.
