A glimpse into the life of...

WeeGuan trusts and respects that the body is intelligent and does its best for each individual at any moment in time. WeeGuan is always curious to acquire and synthesise knowledge and apply what she has learned.  Her students & clients benefit from increased knowledge, body awareness, postural ease, and movement efficiency. She believes everyone should be able to live the life they want and indulge in the activities they enjoy.

After taking the Anatomy Trains Structure and Function course in 2017, she searched for a movement syllabus that utilises Anatomy Trains as a bodymap for teaching movement.  She found art of motion's Slings Myofascial Training concept (Slings) and was drawn to the science-rooted and evidence-rich movement concept and resource-oriented approaches developed by Karin Gurtner. Slings’ fascia-considered functional movement philosophy and techniques have since been integrated and frames her multimodal work with her clients. She joined the art of motion education team in the summer of 2020.

WeeGuan also supports Karin and Monika as part of the office team in the role of International Relationship Manager. She brings her experience from her prior career in international brand planning and consumer insights to art of motion’s inclusive education and philosophy for promoting movement intelligence for health and wellness globally.
A curious being, she loves travelling and learning - exploring new cultures, places and accumulating new knowledge and experiences in this wonderful world.
